Campbell-Rey is a creative consultancy and design partnership founded by Duncan Campbell and Charlotte Rey.
Working fluently across the fields of creative direction, branding, curation and design, Campbell-Rey’s practice is united by a grounding in culture, a sense of irreverence and a playful, elegant aesthetic.
Together they have undertaken commissions for some of the worlds most innovative and desirable brands.
Originally intended as a portfolio book for VIP clients, Campbell-Rey worked with the late David Collins and his architectural studio to expand the concept and create a coffee table book that explores the myriad inspirations found in Collins’ award-winning interior design schemes which include The Wolseley, The Blue Bar at The Berkeley, Claridge’s Bar and the penthouse suite at The Connaught Hotel. The book centres around an alphabet of design created by Collins himself, celebrating the influences he attached to each letter.
We worked with Assouline as the publishing partner, and led on the book’s design and art direction. A special edition of the book was created with a navy linen slipcase and gold foil embossed custom lettering.
